The Basic Life Support (BLS) course will prepare healthcare providers and professional rescuers to gain the knowledge and skills needed to respond to cardiac arrest in victims of all ages.

What is the difference between CPR and BLS for healthcare providers?

The difference between BLS and CPR is that the BLS class is an advanced CPR AED course. BLS is an abbreviation for Basic Life Support. The BLS CPR AED is a healthcare level CPR. The certification for healthcare providers is titled BLS Provider.

Online instruction with in-person hands on group classes.

A combination of 24/7 access to online learning followed by in person limited contact hands on training

Please remember to wear a mask during class.  Please allow 45 to 60 minutes for the in person hands on training. 

Hands on Classes available daily in Holly Springs. Once you register, you will be able to choose a date to attend the in person hands on training.

WHAT TO EXPECT during the BLS certification class

Through lecture, videos and hands-on practice during the BLS (Basic Life Support) training, you will be able to respond confidently to emergency situations whether you are in the field or at bedside. BLS (Basic Life Support) skills and topics include:

Team CPR • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Use Pre-Hospital and Hospital Scenarios
